Dr. David R. Bamshad
Dr. David R. Bamshad is the Founder and Medical Director of Ventra Medical, where he provides advanced, minimally invasive, image-guided treatments for a wide range of vascular diseases and health conditions. His procedures offer patients a safe and effective alternative to traditional surgery — with quicker recovery times, reduced risks, and lower overall costs.
Dr. Bamshad trained at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, completing a fellowship in Interventional Radiology and serving as Chief Resident during his diagnostic radiology residency. He was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Medical Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society (GHHS). His academic contributions include multiple book chapters, peer-reviewed publications, and oral presentations at national conferences. His research has focused extensively on embolization techniques, including novel approaches for prostatic artery embolization.
In addition to his role at Ventra Medical, Dr. Bamshad serves as Director of Interventional Radiology at Gramercy Surgery Center. Since 2006, Gramercy has provided New York City with exceptional healthcare, growing into one of the leading multispecialty surgical centers in Manhattan and Queens.
