Venous Disease

From varicose veins to chronic venous insufficiency, Ventra Medical offers safe, minimally invasive treatments that restore comfort, appearance, and quality of life.

What Is Venous Disease?

Venous disease occurs when the veins in your legs can’t circulate blood properly back to the heart. Weak vein valves cause blood to pool, leading to swelling, pain, and visible varicose veins.

Why Treat Venous Disease?

Left untreated, venous disease can worsen over time, leading to complications such as:

Treatment not only relieves symptoms and improves appearance, but it also prevents disease progression and protects long-term health.

Advanced Treatments for Venous Disease

At Ventra Medical, we provide modern, outpatient procedures that are safe, effective, and require little downtime:

  • Endovenous Ablation (Laser or Radiofrequency): Uses heat energy to close diseased veins and redirect blood flow
  • Varithena® Foam Therapy: Injection of a special foam that seals off problematic veins
  • Microphlebectomy: Removal of bulging surface veins through tiny punctures
  • Venoplasty and Stenting: Opens blocked veins and places stents when necessary for improved blood flow
  • Clot-directed Therapies (for DVT): Image-guided treatments that remove or break down clots safely

How Do These Treatments Work?

  1. Consultation: Evaluation of your symptoms with ultrasound to map vein function.
  2. Procedure: Performed in-office or outpatient surgical center, often in under an hour.
  3. Recovery: Patients walk immediately afterward; most return to normal activity within a day.
  4. Results: Improved leg comfort, appearance, and circulation.
